My Passion for Karate
On my journey to becoming an Australian Karate Champion, I had to relearn how to walk and talk. Three years ago, a series of strokes and pseudoaneurysms puzzled my doctors and left me needing 24/7 care. Yet, at this moment, I decided to make a wild promise. Not only would I remain positive through this ordeal, but I would also become a Black Belt!
My Family’s Cobra Kai Dream
Karate is a Passion for My Whole Family!
I’m working towards my black belt while representing my state with my son, Andy. This certificate means more to me than I can put into words. I don’t believe everything happens for a reason, but I believe with my whole heart in finding the gift in every experience—good or bad!
Take it from me—the only things that matter are your health and the people you love. Stop waiting to go for your dreams. Give up worrying about what other people think. Start telling yourself you’re good enough. If I can represent my State at 45 after hardly being able to walk and losing the ability to talk, then you can go for your dreams too!
