Our Family Photoshoot
My amazing kids stepped out of their comfort zone this week at our family photoshoot, posing for a talent agent.
My little models scrubbed up pretty well, and I love seeing their natural confidence. At their age, I could never have worked the camera as they have.
It’s proof that our limiting beliefs are built from a young age. As a parent, I consciously instill self-belief in my children so they have the inner power to achieve their goals and work on them with confidence and faith in their talents and abilities.
Pushing Past Self-Limiting Beliefs
This week I smashed through two massive limiting beliefs. I also joined in on the fun at our family photoshoot!
I recently turned 46, and it turns out I’m neither too old nor too short to be a model.
Would someone please invent the time machine so I can tell my insecure younger self?
I love that nowadays, there is so much awareness around self-limiting beliefs and the pressures and expectations we place on ourselves from external sources.
As parents, we have the power and knowledge to nurture a different and positive mindset for our children.
When we give children the tools to overcome their fears, we set them up for success by instilling in them a winning mindset and the confidence to use their abilities to navigate through and solve life challenges for themselves.
Emily, my eldest daughter, has never had so much fun because she’s not a dancer or performer. She’s never really experienced having her makeup done, and certainly not by a professional makeup artist.
When my daughter, Sophie, was fighting Leukemia, I encouraged her to set goals and dream about the future. Sophie dreamed of becoming a TV actress, and with this photoshoot, she’s moving closer to achieving that dream.
As for my youngest, Andy, he was in his element!
At age 10, he is a natural in front of the camera.
He knows confidence is king!
