2022 National Karate Championships
2022 Karate Championships
What a day of National Karate Championships at the International Sports Karate Association!
We each took some bling to celebrate and cheer on our efforts.
As a family, karate has become the hobby that binds us together. This sport has been a blessing to our family, giving us a driving force for life. Together, we celebrate our wins as we individually break down our barriers and work towards the higher goals we set for ourselves.
Here are two ecstatic National Champions at the International Sports Karate Association.
This is Sophie’s 1st National Title, and Andy has taken home so many medals I’ve lost count.
Andy has been undefeated in traditional Okinawan weapons at the International Sports Karate Association (ISKA) tournaments in Australia since he began competing in weapons at age 7.
He even made it to the Traditional Weapons Grand Championships!
Emily, our Green Belt, was delighted to take home the bronze. It was great to see her in action.
As for me, the smile says it all!
I placed as the Runner-up Australian National Kata Champion 18+ Expert Division, International Sport Karate Association.
Not bad for a 46-year-old brown belt whose doctors told her that she would never run, swim or play ANY sport again four years ago after a series of strokes and pseudo-aneurisms on the brain.
