50 Crunches a Day in March for Redkite
Sophie and I are teaming up this March to participate in the crunch challenge to support the work of Redkite.
It involves 50 crunches a day for every day this month!
This fundraising challenge is close to our hearts. We’re very fortunate because Sophie has been in remission from Leukemia for over three years.
I don’t know how we would have made it through her treatment without the support from Redkite! It was the most challenging two and a half years of our lives—when I look back, I’m still amazed at what Sophie had to endure.
When a child fights cancer, the stress placed on a family is extreme. And our family was no exception. But, Redkite provided support every step of the way.
Redkite waved their red and white rainbow, giving us hope, support, and reassurance from the first day Sophie was diagnosed. Their first gift was a care bag that remains firm in our memories and hearts. In paying it forward, we are proud to wave Redkite’s flag and support this incredible organization.
They provided the support we needed to help to explain Sophie’s illness to her siblings and why Mum had to be with her in the hospital for so long.
Redkite brought hope in the form of music from the music therapist.
Their social worker helped us deal with overwhelming paperwork and how to ask difficult questions.
They provided tutoring, which gave Sophie the gift of being able to go back to school in the same year as her friends despite missing over a year of school.
And SO much more!!
Redkite provided essential practical and emotional support when we needed it.
We want to help them provide support for every family who needs them.
Redkite has hit 1,000 in their Crunch Facebook group, which is fantastic!
Thank you to everyone who has donated.
